Each team has a portable mini-escape box that is associated with a specific location. The aim is to decipher the box’s coin code by solving puzzles and riddles in and on the box. Each box has its own story and is also related to other boxes. You have to work together as a team, exchange things and communicate well.
Mechelen Unboxed is unique because of the city’s involvement in the game. The legends and stories concerning buildings and city figures make it a high-level team building activity and a cultural experience. The highlight of the game is when the teams return and all the boxes are placed next to each other.
If the Mechelen story is correct and the coin combinations are also right, then the mission has been successful!
